Adding Stereoscopic Images

Today we are introducing stereoscopic images to the web site. John has been taking photos with the intent of publishing them in stereoscopic form as early as the Crater Lake part of the trip.

You can get to all of the stereoscopic images by clicking on the “3D Images” link at the top of each of the Mt Rushmore pages.

For more information on how to view these images and what the heck that weird looking photo in this entry is all about, visit the 3D Images page.

We will be adding more 3D images to the web site as they are produced.

Apparently, I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.  Probably with practice I can do this but I'm getting too many sideways glances from my co-workers right now as I hold two toilet paper rolls up to my eyes ala Austin Powers... :-)

This stereoscopic thing is very cool. Leave it to John to be into something like this. Amazing, I'm familliar with the concept, but I had no idea you could see them on a computer screen.
