#41 Moved to Ground Level

Thursday we drove by Grace Pavilion and noticed that they had removed the Woodstock from the Grace Pavilion roof to the grounds next to Woodstock Crush. Yesterday we took our camera to the scene for some ground-level photographs.

I don’t know whether or not “Learning to Fly” will be headed back to the rooftop after the current fairgrounds event, but he is much easier to photograph in the current location. For those of you that lack high-power optical zoom cameras, now is your chance to get a good photo.

I would also like to add that when we were there a golf cart was parked in front of the statue in the way of getting good photos. It was so refreshing to see that the people inside were so nice and accommodating. They practically raced outside to move the golf cart for us. We really appreciated it.

I have updated the photos to include one of the ground-level shots for #41. We are still not sure what happened to his poor head, but if anyone out there knows, we’d love to hear about it. The “white goop” is present on both sides of his cap and I know it was not that way at the Artist Paint-Off in May.
