Dots the Way - Yay, finally!

The big news for today is that we had another Woodstock sighting and were able to get some photos of it. Tom Everhart’s Woodstock #62, titled “Dots the way uh-huh uh-huh, I like it uh-huh uh-huh” is now on display in the lobby of the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Also, the museum is now open 7 days a week for the summer seasen.

We did a drive-by on the remaining four missing Woodstocks and did not see any other new birds. We will likely not try this again until at least Monday, since the setup crew appears to only be working on weekdays now.

We also went back to the Yellow Bird Racer (#18) at the Flamingo Hotel because we had heard that the bird moved from the lobby inside to an outdoor spot by the pool. We were pleased to find that this is true, and it is now much easier to get good quality photos in adequate outdoor lighting.

We also decided to stop at Hawley’s Paint Store for another round of photos of “I Am Ready, Snoopy” (#46). Our first set was taken in harsh sunlight. What we discovered is that the artist has added a hand-painted panel with the title to the base of the statue. Not a huge change, but these little tweaks are interesting. How do we know when they are completed?
